Industrial Hygiene
Industrial hygiene assessments are undertaken to evaluate the health and safety aspects of a workplace. An assessment usually consists of a number of stages summarised as follows:
- An initial walk-through to familiarise the consultant with the workplace and current work practices, and to identify potential hazards
- An in-depth evaluation of hazards identified
- The evaluation may include the collection of air samples to determine the concentrations of airborne materials, measurement of noise, heat stress levels, evaluation of workplace ventilation
- Corrective action recommendations are provided for all identified hazards
TMS consultants have extensive experience in the execution of assessments of this type and are supported by a specialised team of monitoring personnel and an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
